Handle Materials

Zero Tolerance handles are built from materials that are extremely stable and durable—while reducing carry weight. In addition, a number of models also include contouring and 3D handle machining to enhance grip.

Carbon Fiber

Carbon fiber atoms are bonded together in crystals aligned in long strands, then woven together like fibers. Combined with resin to make the fibers rigid, carbon fiber makes a knife handle material that is extremely strong and extremely lightweight.

Titanium

Titanium is a lightweight, corrosion-resistant metal with high tensile strength. ZT uses it as a handle material, a liner, a lockbar, or as part of a performance-enhancing coating.
